I thought I would share a quick Grandparents' Day idea. Celebrating grandparents in September is a long tradition at my school. We invite grandparents into our classrooms and I used to struggle every year with something for the kids to do, but not anymore. I happen upon this idea two years ago and the grandparents love it. My kids learn the "I Love" song by Tom T. Hall and perform it for their special visitors. As they sing we play the youtube video on our SmartBoard which always gets a chuckle or two.
