I decided to join the Friday Freebie bandwagon! I created a Spelling practice Tic Tac Toe board for my students to use during Tier 2. Now when I say I created it, I mean I typed it but there is not an original idea on it! I borrowed ideas from several sources after googling "spelling practice." I picked simple ideas and as the year progresses I'll change the board and expand the ways they can practice. I have 2 versions. The first version has keyboarding practice without a computer. When we discard old computers, I keep the keyboards. I cut off the cords and use them for keyboarding and spelling practice. The kids don't care that they are not connected to a computer (I have gotten a few funny looks from visitors though when they walk in and the kids are using them!). So the first version (click on the pic below) includes keyboarding with no computer.
If you'd like to have your kids practice their spelling words on a computer click here for version 2. If you like the Word document to customize yourself, email me at debbiesdabblings@gmail.com and I'll send it to you.

Hi Debbie - would love a copy of your great spelling sheet but it won't let me open the doc.
It should work now. If not, email me at debbiesdabblings@gmail.com and I'll send it via email. Sorry about that!
Great idea. I think a protector sheet will keep students using this idea as a center. Thanks for sharing.
I love this! I will most definitely be using this in my room. SInce I do the Daily 5, it will be going in the "word work" area! Again...thanks!!!
Debbie,
This is similar to what I use for homework with my 2nd graders but it totally works in the classroom too! I do flashlight words, tickle spelling, and www.spellingcity.com as choices too. I like to give them some different things each month. I just have a parent sign when there is no paper product to show work.
